Well, it has been a while. On January 28th, while taking Emily to school, Jason has an Myocardial Infaction (aka heart attack). On February 27th (day after his 46th B-day) he had an angioplasty and stint placed in his LAD (Left anterior descending) artery. He is doing well, and his recovery should take about 6 months. This is a lesson to anyone who likes fatty food! His baseline heart rate is 45 and his blood pressure is 110/75. His heart is in amazing shape, but his diet and oddly shaped heart caused a 90% occlusion in the main cardiac artery. Please, please watch your diets! Dawn Marie |

Some quick updates on what's going on in our lives... - Jacob is now singing lead for the band Electric Blondes. He has a really nice girlfriend, who we got to meet over Christmas.
- Melissa is now a theater major at UC Santa Barbara.
- Jerry is managing to hold a 3.75 GPA in school, despite spending a lot of time on XBoxLive and being an angsty thirteen-year-old.
- Bethany is a pirate, and she says her bedroom is haunted by something like three ghosts.
- Emily is, well, Emily.
- Dawn is at OSU majoring in forensic anthropology. She'd be a senior this year, but she changed her major, so she's a fourth-year junior. Oh, yeah: four years in, and she STILL has a 4.0! We're trying to decide whether the next step is nursing school for her LPN, or medical school.
- Jason is a Linux server engineer working at IBM. He gets to work at home, but expects major changes in the job world in the next few months. A commute to Portland, or even a move, may be in the works.
Oh, and one more thing: it is generally agreed that Winnie is very cute. She's been here for a full year now. |
