So, I had a server crash. Not surprising; this thing's old. The root disk died for the second time this summer, and after the first death (which I was able to rebuild; yay me), the disk was well and truly dead. So, i had to re-arrange data and use one of the other disks to build a whole new root disk. I had gotten a new laptop over the summer thanks to my lovely wife and was planning on removing X-Windows anyway and just running this box as a server instead of dual-purposed as my desktop, so the timing was good.
But it means configs for a lot of thing s were lost. the MySQL backends for our original Joomla setup were lost, but I have all the family pictures and all the music on separate disks (both mirrored and duplicated eight ways from Sunday) so the important stuff was saved.
